Just To Prove It...

...that we did actually work during the Big Sky trip, here are two photos of our new hot tub cover cover and firewood rack....

Happy 21st Birthday Trevor

We returned from a successful Big Sky shakedown cruise Sunday. Shown are a couple of photos from the trip. The conditions continued to improve through the 4 days there, with 7 - 10" of nice powder on Saturday. Kev and I made our first trip from the summit that day - a cold run down Marx, one of the steep dictator chutes. A little rocky at the top, but it got better as we descended. The quads were definitely feeling the burn by the time we made it from the 11,000 ft summit to the base area. To celebrate the first trip of the season, we made a reconnaissance trip to Moonlight Lodge to admire their Christmas decorations and have a celebratory glass of wine. The decorations were very festive, and as usual, the atmosphere was really nice. Although the trip home was a little longer due to a 'broken plane' in Minneapolis (we had to switch aircrafts before taking off), all-in-all it was a great trip. We look forward to going back in March. Kevin and I will be skiing Big Couloir at that time...before we 'get another year older when we do'...

Big Sky Shakedown Cruise

In preparation for the ski season, Kevin and I decided we really were obligated to make sure Big Sky Dream was in shape for the ski season. So we scheduled a quick trip to our favorite destination before Christmas this year to (a) make a hot tub cover cover (you read that right - the falling icicles destroyed our first one after one year), and (b)to make a firewood rack because the community firewood center has been closed, so we have firewood stacked in the garage. We have repaired or fixed several other things since arriving late Tuesday night. Of course yesterday, it was required that we shakedown our ski legs as well, so we made an abbreviated trip to the mountain for skiing.

Oh, and I should mention that rumors that this trip was entirely for fun enticed Ann, then Caitlin, to come along too! So the boarders are having fun on the mountain as well...I mean, helping to make sure the condo is functioning well.

And the picture? Well, Kevin has changed his look for this 'working man's' trip. Cheers to all!
